The Adventure Begins:

We have been here since Sunday afternoon and are having a nice relaxing time settling in. Having no mobile/internet service here has been annoying and have no TV signal either although that’s not quite as challenging. All the locals have a 30ft pole for their aerials. Gradually discovering all the things we had forgotton about and really need, although at the moment nothing major major stands out.. even the mobile phone or lack off! It has been quite hot and sticky and it rained overnight Tuesday so we have experienced some mud! But today it is bearably cloudy. Have been unable to use the airconditioner as we haven’t a second power lead but we’re coping. I am trying to imagine us in pouring rain in July!! The dogs have settled in better than expected, not getting too tangled although it is taking some managing. And they still want to get up and go out at night!! Lolli threw a fit Wednesday night, but is looking much better after getting ill at Liv’s ( licking canetoads). There are plenty of dogs here and surprisingly not a lot of barking, at the moment L&T would be the worse culprits. (Booked in to have their innoculations and Tess to be speyed next week.) Keith is wiring up the Jackaroo with all his gadgets. Saw a frill neck lizard this morning wandering across the paddock behind us. But Keith saw one between the caravans opposite us a couple of days ago. It is really fairly quiet here,( apart from the first night with police interveening in a custody dispute!) (Which was quickly solved). No loud yahooing of an evening, but we haven’t been here for a Saturday night yet. Must go insearch of the glimmer of signal to get a txt through standing on the footpath out front of the house nextdoor to the caravan park here… Til tomorrow
