Stayed at Laura’s at Deception Bay for 4 nights, arriving Friday (July 25) having discovered before leaving Ipswich that we had a minor water leak somewhere under the HWS. Investigations found it to be (initially) at one of the connections to the mixer valve but replacing this join only moved the pressure to adjacent tee piece joints and having gone back to Kratzmann Caravans nearby to get parts twice we had to wait until Monday to get the other parts (leak now spread to non return and stop valves), Finally fixed and headed off North again on the Tuesday morning. Frances helped Laura by cleaning as they had only moved house a week earlier and we helped Axle hang a side gate so they can get vehicle access to the back yard.
On the way North we stopped overnight at a Rest Area (driver reviver point) at Gunalda on the Bruce Highway about 30km North of Gympie; nice area with good toilet facilities and very popular by late afternoon, definitely one to use again.
